5G Ipod battery charger

What about a battery pack using 4 AA batteries with a step-up voltage regulator? I’ve done it, and it works!

The circuit to make is in the 1st example of the above PDF.

Then you only have to connect the 12 V output of this circuit to the firewire power pins of the IPOD (pin 20 connects positive 12V and pin 15 to ground).

If you don´t have a dock connector buy a car charger for example and tweak it. (http://pinouts.ru/data/ipod_pinout.shtml)

Plain and simple. IT WORKS. I HAVE ONE WORKING!
